Marble is porous. Sealing closes the surface pores and buys you time before a spill becomes a stain. Reseal floors every 12–18 months and kitchen surfaces every 6–12 months.
Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaner and a microfibre mop. Avoid vinegar, lemon and acidic bathroom cleaners — they etch the surface permanently.
Blot spills, never wipe them outward. Lift oil stains with a poultice powder rather than scrubbing.
