Italian marble pricing in India is driven by four things: the quarry, the vein character, the thickness and the finish. Two slabs from the same quarry can differ by 30% in price simply because one has stronger veining.
As a broad 2026 guide, Carrara White starts around ₹280 per sq ft, Statuario around ₹450 per sq ft, and premium Calacatta Gold from ₹650 per sq ft upward. Exotic lots with exceptional veining and book-match potential can cross ₹1,000 per sq ft.
Always ask for the price in slab form and the price in tile form — cutting adds wastage and fabrication cost. Ask whether freight, unloading and sealing are included. A low square-foot rate with expensive fabrication is not cheap.
Finally, buy from a supplier who will show you the actual slab, not a catalogue image. At KDS Marble, buyers inspect every slab at our Kishangarh yard before it is cut.
